Terms of Service
Last updated July 17, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your use of Existence, a social app operated by Types LLC for finding nearby hangouts, topic-led live introductions, and conversations. By creating an account, accessing the app, or using Existence, you agree to these Terms.
Existence is only for people who are at least 18 years old.
Live calls and hangouts involve other users; end, report, or block whenever an interaction feels unsafe.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for unsafe, abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful conduct.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding legal agreement to use Existence. By using the service, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will use Existence only for lawful, personal, and genuine social connection.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, account, and sign-in credentials. Profile text, photos, and videos must not be false, misleading, impersonative, abusive, infringing, or otherwise unlawful. You may not create an account for another person without permission or use Existence to deceive, harass, or target other users.
Existence helps users discover nearby people, post hangouts, and exchange messages, but Types LLC does not supervise, screen in real time, endorse, guarantee, or insure any user, conversation, hangout, or in-person interaction. All hangouts and any decisions before, during, or after them are entirely at your own risk. Use good judgment, protect your safety, and do not rely on Existence as a background check, identity verification service, or emergency service.
Live Introductions pair eligible, authenticated adult profiles for a topic-led video conversation. You must not record, rebroadcast, photograph, or otherwise capture a call without every participant's explicit consent. Existence does not record calls, and you should assume that another participant may still use external recording tools. You may end, report, or block from the call controls at any time.
Active dialogue partners may exchange text, photos, voice messages, and GIF references and may place one-to-one video calls. Ordinary dialogue content is designed to expire after 14 days, but reported material may be preserved temporarily for safety review. Do not send content you do not have the right or consent to share. Dialogue calls use direct WebRTC when available and may expose network-address information to the other participant; they fall back to relay when a direct path cannot be established.
We may investigate reports, remove content, limit visibility, suspend features, or suspend or terminate accounts if we believe that doing so helps protect users, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of Existence. We may take these actions with or without prior notice where appropriate.
Existence, including its software, branding, design, and content provided by Types LLC, is owned by Types LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended personal purpose. You retain rights in the content you submit, but you grant us a limited license to host, process, display, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Features may change, pause, or disappear as Existence evolves. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time. We are not liable for outages, interruptions, delivery delays, or the failure of third-party providers such as Google, Neon, Vercel, Cloudflare R2, Cloudflare Realtime/TURN, Google AdMob, or Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Existence is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Types LLC and its affiliates, managers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of Existence, your interactions with other users, or any hangout.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Types LLC and its affiliates, officers, managers, employees, and contractors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your use of Existence, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Existence must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Sacramento, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may post an updated version in the app or on the website and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Existence after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
